Genshin Impact Map Marker (A cool interface)

The prompt called for an “interesting interface review”, and I was struggling to make a decision so I just went with something I use literally every day. This interface (https://genshin-impact-map.appsample.com/#/) is a website of the map for a video game I play called Genshin Impact. Genshin Impact is advertised as a mobile game but I prefer to play on the PC as I’m used to gaming on a bigger screen and I prefer moving using a mouse and keyboard, not my fingers; but that's a different interface to discuss for a different day. This website helps mark important items/enemies on the map that the in game map doesn’t show. You can choose whatever you want to show up on the map as little as 1 item, or the max of 70 items/enemies. This is extremely useful because if I want to go to a certain place in the game I can see what exactly is in the area and I can farm materials efficiently. The map also looks, moves and zooms exactly like the in game map so there is familiarity with the design and usage. I can also link it to my google account so I can save my progress, so once I’ve marked that I got a certain item I know not to go back trying to look for it.

The game’s actual in-game map has “markers” you can add to it as well, but there is only 8 different images/icon and sometimes I want to find a specific flower and if I just put a flower marker It can be confusing.

Other additive/marker maps for this game either was an app, which I’m playing on my PC so I can’t download, or another website that is very similar, but visually it looks terrible (https://mapgenie.io/genshin-impact/maps/teyvat). The “markers” look too colorful and iconic whereas the one I use the “markers” are just little pictures of the actual item and this helps way better with me quickly visually scanning the map.

The website is kind of difficult to use on mobile so I can see how someone playing this game on their phone wouldn't want to use this site. Also it can be hard to put your person in the right spot since in game there is a real time tracker of where your character is but not on the website. Plus if you don’t sign in and the progress is lost it can be frustrating to re mark which items you’ve found already.
